Pine Needle Basketry
About Kumi
Born in Osaka , Japan. Lives in the US since 1980.
Kumi likes craft things, and tried many craft works available around her since she was child.
After her retirement from work, she met pine needle basket, felt in love with it, and she has been making a lot of items with pine needles since then.
She also tries other craft works whenever they are available,
She has published two basketry books in Japanese,
"Pine needle basketry - basic" in April, 2018, and
"Pine needle basketry - Advanced" in September, 2019.
These books are the first pine needle basketry books written in Japanese.

Current classes:
Starting Tuesday, January 14th, 2020, I will be teaching pine needle basket making class,
every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Class fee: $30.
Location: Kihara Craft and Art Studio, in Gardena, CA

I also teach at your place if three or more people want to take lessons together.
